Lo Kakao,

Let me start by complimenting your work. The fact that you are not discriminating and are creating stats for ALL teams and users is seperating you from the other stats-sites that only focus on the "top-whatever" teams.

Would you consider offering (stripped-down) per-user and per-team stats in the form of XML (or any other format)? I am currently working on a (GNU/GPL) FAH-appliance that will probably attract a lot of new users to the good cause of FAH but feel that the program would be worthless if beginners would not be able to watch their rankings.

To prevent lagging your server my program would download the XML (single small per-team, per-user file) and would then store this info locally. Only after an expired interval would the program download the XML file from your site again to update it's local store. I am only looking for the basic fah-statistics like a user's rank, points, wu, team, etc. For all the other fancy statistics (history, predictions, etc.) people would just have to visit your website in the usual way.

Although I could probably generate these rankings from the daily_summary files I would rather just focus on the client-side and hook into an existing specialized stats-site. And besides, it would make your already good site even better ;)

If you feel like adding this service to your site and need help in any way I am more than willing to assist you.

Thanks in advance,

   Bravo

Hello Bravo, Thanks for posting.

I'm having a big performance problem due to an underpowered server.

I'm very sorry but the last thing i need now is an automatic download engine fetching data from the db.

Each query to the db is very expensive and I have been hunting robots in a daily basis. They really hurt the server.

Wish you the best with your project.
Every criticism or suggestion from the user is a gift. Even if i disagree or don't answer. Obviously if there is real intellectual work on producing it the better.
